A Client-Focused Design Process
At Denise Quade Design, we create relationships that endure the test of time because we see the value in going above and beyond on every project to bring your visions to life. This should be an exciting time for you. If you feel stressed about the many decisions ahead, please let us help take the pain out of the process. Because... If you live in it, you should love it!
How Our Process Works
First meeting
No charge
Typically takes place in our showroom (Look at products, review the project, exchange ideas and get to know each other). It is very helpful to have a good idea on appliances to be used for this meeting, if not, we will help specify what works as we do with many things as they come up.
Design Retainer
Varies by Project Scope
Once we have a good idea on the scope of the project, we can settle on a design retainer which is refunded with the purchase of cabinets and countertops. This retainer allows us to draw up the areas in CAD and then to provide color pictures of these spaces to help visualize things. We will do up to 3 revisions. All drawings will be shared with the client each time. The retainer can vary from $2500-$6000.
Project Documentation
Explore creative solutions using input from our first meeting with client provided Houzz library. Begin CAD drawings and detailing them as decisions are made. CAD floor plans come complete with elevations and perspectives. When far enough along, we will provide a price quote to help establish a budget.
Product Selections
For any products not purchased through DQD, an hourly fee will be charged for our help with paint, tile, flooring, plumbing, lighting, cabinetry, countertops, hardware and appliances.
Please note however: You will NOT be charged if cabinets and countertops are purchased through DQD and if samples are brought to our showroom to help expedite these selections or DQD samples can be used to help establish the direction early on.
We will make suggestions and recommendations along the way for lighting, color and paint and furniture layouts (especially those that affect our cabinet plans) with a signed retainer. We will help as much or as little as each client needs us to. We do not supply furniture, accessories or window treatments but can recommend a reputable Interior Designer if needed.
